Background:
This piece was inspired by watching a choir sing in St Mary’s Church on Holy Island, their singing was beautiful and I sensed that every prayerful note rose like incense (Psalm 141:2).
At Christmas, perhaps more than any other time of year we raise our voices in expectation and joy and the carol I have used in this piece is so joyful and lovely to sing.
